NYPAA To Host Free Basketball Clinic and House League for Toronto Youth

Fully -and- truly meeting its commitment to youth development through meaningful sports programs, the 16-year old North York Pinoy Athletic Association, is conducting a free Youth Basketball Clinic special program every Friday beginning December 4, 2015. Alongside the program is the holding of a Basketball House League during the Winter/Spring Season of 2016.

Both programs are to be held at Antibes Community Centre, located at 140 Antibes Drive, North York, Toronto (Bathurst/Finch area). Clinic is first come-first served and In-Person Registration starts on December 4, 2015 from 6:30 PM to 9 PM at the Lower Level of the Centre. Scheduled gym times are: 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM for 8 years old & under and 7:00 PM - 8:00 PM for 12 years old and under.

The Basketball Clinic, which is offered free, will engage and introduce youth participants to basketball playing fundamentals such as basic dribbling, shooting skills, passing, ball handling and teamwork. For the House League Youth Competition however, there is a Registration Fee that will cover costs for a top jersey and medal for each participating player.

The NYPAA Youth program is headed by its Sports Commissioners Renato Columbano and Mark Victoria, and solidly assisted by Mylene Escalona, Jimi & Tina Fernandez, Victor Montero Christian Lalicon, Joanne Ligsay, Homer Obille, Tim Sinclair and Sharone Columbano, NYPAA President. Providing guidance and technical support are NYPAA founders: Ed Sotto, Vilma Tahsin, Roger Tarca and Bob San Juan.
